Patsy L. Record
Patsy L. Record, 80, of Topeka, passed away on Sunday, October 30, 2011 at her home. She was born on August 30, 1931 in Topeka, Kansas to Albert J. and Eva E. (Beckley) Braden.
Patsy worked at Ray Christian Jewelers for 17 years and retired from Marling's Home Furnishings and Appliance in 1992. Patsy was a member of Central Church of Christ.
In 1955, Patsy married Bill L. Record, he preceded her in death on July 8, 2008. She was also preceded in death by her grandson, Shane Patterson on March 25, 2009 and her step father, Ted Burgess on August 5, 2000.
Patsy is survived by her daughter, Sherry Record, Topeka; son, Randy Patterson, Meriden; sister, Sally Lowry and her companion Bill Knowles, Topeka; and three great grandchildren.
A funeral ceremony will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 3 at the Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel. Burial will follow in the Penwell-Gabel Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service time at the funeral home on Thursday.
