Patsy Ann Hobbs, 80, of Topeka, died on Sunday, September 15, 2013 at her home.
She was born July 13, 1933 in Prairie Hill, MO to Eldridge W. and Hazel M. (Harrington) Fawks. She graduated from Prairie Hill High School.
She was married to Milton Hobbs, Sr. on September 18, 1949 in Hale, MO. She was a member of 1st Southern Baptist Church in Topeka
She is survived by two sons, Jim (Mickey) Hobbs of Lawrence and Milton Hobbs, Jr. of Texas; three daughters, Mary (Ernie) Blow, Cathy (Bill) Finck, and Sara (Mark) Garber, all of Topeka; one sister, Mary Byrne of Kansas City, MO; eleven grandchildren, twenty three great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, by her husband, Milton Hobbs, Sr., and two daughters, Linda Ann Hobbs and Janet K. Rothe.
Patsy will lie in state after 3 p.m., Tuesday, September 17, 2013 at the Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel, 1321 SW 10th Ave., Topeka, where the family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00p.m. that evening. A funeral ceremony will be held at 9:00a.m., Wednesday, September 18 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at 3:00p.m., Wednesday at Fawks Cemetery in Prairie Hill, MO.
