Patricia Wiesner
Patricia Anne Wiesner, 79, of Topeka, passed away, Wednesday, November 20, 2002 at a Topeka care center.
She was born August 16, 1923 in Detroit, Michigan the daughter of Isidore and Margaret (Heery) Wiesner.
Following High School she entered the Convent of the Holy Spirit in Techny, Illinois. She earned a nursing degree at St. Therese Hospital and spent fourteen years as a Missionary Nurse in Ghana, Africa.
She returned to Techny and earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree from De Paul University in 1971, and worked at a hospital in Chicago.
She came to Topeka in 1975 and earned a Master of Science from Kansas State University. She worked at Memorial Hospital and Topeka State Hospital until her retirement.
Ms. Wiesner was a member of Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church.
She is survived by:
one sister, Teresa Davy Bexley, Ohio
Cremation is planned. A memorial mass will be held 10:00am Saturday, November 23, 2002 at Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Inurnment will be at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to Midland Hospice Care, 200 SW Frazier Circle, Topeka, Kansas 66606. Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel is in charge of cremation.
