Patricia Louise Putnam Davis, 92, died April 21, 2015, in Topeka. She was born March 24, 1923, in Emporia, Kansas, to Perry L. and Lauretta Schultz Putnam. She graduated from Admire High School in 1941 and earned a BS degree in dietetics from Kansas State University in 1945.
She was a member of the United Methodist Churches of Admire and Emporia. She was also a lifetime member of Alpha Xi Delta and the Kansas State University Alumni Association.
She was married to Eldon Neil Davis on September 14, 1946 at the home of her parents in Admire. He preceded her in death on January 20, 1989. Also preceding her in death are her parents and her sister, Frances Jeanette Smith.
She is survived by her daughter, Linda Davis of Overland Park; sons and daughters-in-law, Terrence (Patsy) Davis of Leawood; Kevin Davis and Cathy Leonhart of Topeka; Mark Davis and Vicki Noteis of Kansas City, MO and William (Karla) Davis of Mt. Wolf, PA; her grandchildren, Matthew (Sara) Davis of Scottsdale, AZ; Kimberly Davis of Overland Park; Emily Davis of Orleans, France; Audrey Davis of Kansas City, MO; Logan Davis of Weston, MO and Nicholas Davis of Mt. Wolf, PA and great grandson, Tyson Davis of Scottsdale.
Memorial services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, April 25 at Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel. Private inurnment will be held at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Admire. Memorial contributions may be made to National Foundation for Cancer Research, 4600 East West Highway, Suite 525, Bethesda, MD 20814.
