Patricia "Pat" J. (Woodward) Guhn, 85, of Topeka, passed away Thursday, May 10, 2012.
She was born December 30, 1926 in Wichita, the daughter of Gerald & Ivy (Wilkerson) Woodward.
Patricia was a graduate of Wichita East High School.
Mrs. Guhn was a piano teacher for decades in Tipton, Downs and Topeka areas. She was the pianist at Zion Lutheran in Tipton, also an organist at Zion Lutheran in Downs, KS. She was an active volunteer for both churches. She was also a member and active volunteer at Faith Lutheran Church in Topeka.
Pat enjoyed gardening, sewing, knitting and spending time with her family.
She married Harold Guhn on September 2, 1944, in Wichita, KS, he precedes her in death.
Survivors include two daughters, Norma (Frank) Lambert and Edie (Don) Snethen; four grandchildren, Brenda Lambert Marshall, Eric Lambert, Zachary Snethen, and Gretchen Snethen; six great grandchildren, Ian, Duncan, Cameron, Keely, Ainsley Marshall, and Oliver Snethen; her sister, Geraldine "Gerry" Yost.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 15, 2012, at Faith Lutheran Church, 1716 SW Gage Blvd., Topeka, 66604. Burial will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery. Mrs. Guhn will lie in state at the Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel, 1321 SW 10th Ave., after 3:00 p.m., Monday , where the family will receive friends from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be given to Faith Lutheran Church.
