Patricia "Pat" Joy (Logan) Blue, 69, of Topeka, passed away Saturday, November 13, 2021.
She was born December 31, 1951, in Topeka, Kansas, the daughter of Roland Bennett, Sr. and Francis (Briscoe) Young. Patricia went to Topeka High School and graduated in 1970. After graduation she went on to attend a few semesters at Kansas University.
Patricia was employed by the USD 501 for 38 years. She started as a cook and worked up to becoming a Special Education Para Professional at Topeka High School. She loved working with the children.
She was a member of the Asbury-Mt. Olive United Methodist, of Topeka. She sang with the church choir and enjoyed helping usher.
Patricia loved spending time with her family and cooking. She had a passion for helping those in need and would often donate food and clothing.
Patricia married Glenn O. Blue on November 4, 1972 in Topeka, Kansas. He survives. Other survivors her children, Stacy (Tim) Cushinberry and Steven (Karol) Blue; grandchildren, Ronnie Cushinberry, Ashrae'Ana Cushinberry, Zachari Sexton, Heziki Sexton, Mahkia Blue, DeonZay Blue; great granddaughter, Avianna Sexton and one great granddaughter on the way; her siblings, Linda (Mike) Cowan and Roland Bennett, Jr.; step mother, Yvonne Bennett; niece, Linda Blue; nephew, Jason Blue and countless nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; adopted parents, Lewis and Gertrude Logan; and one brother, Jimmy Logan.
Honoring Patricia's wishes, cremation is planned. A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, December 4th, 2021 at Penwell Gabel Funeral Home, 1321 SW 10th Ave., Topeka, Kansas 66604. The family will greet guests an hour prior to the service. A private family interment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery in Topeka, Kansas. Memorial contributions may be made to Doorstep Inc, 1119 SW 10th, Topeka, KS 66604.
