Orville Floyd Saylors Jr., 90, of Topeka, passed away Sunday, November 27, 2022.
He was born January 2, 1932, in Emporia, Kansas, the son of Orville Floyd Saylors Sr. and Hazel Edith (Spellman) Saylors.
He served in the United States Army during the Korean War.
Orville worked as a truck driver transporting lumber. He was also a member of the Teamsters Union.
Orville married Carolyn Joyce Barrett on April 16, 1955 in Emporia, Kansas.
Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Saylors of the home; his children, Carrie (The Late Galen) Saylors-Lee, Diana (Mark) Saylors-Dauenhauer and Greg Saylors all of Topeka; six grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.
Orville was a skilled carpenter. He had a love for dogs. He also enjoyed playing board games, hunting, fishing and working on cars. Orville was a family man and enjoyed every moment that he was able to spend with his family.
He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, December 2, 2022 at Penwell-Gabel Cremations, Funerals and Receptions, 1321 SW 10th Ave., Topeka, KS 66604.
Visitation will take place one hour before the service time. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, 3616 SW 6th Ave., Topeka, KS 66606.
