Oma "Shannon" Bennett, 43, Topeka, passed away Wednesday, December 19, 2012. The cause of death, homicide.
Shannon was born June 19, 1969 in Topeka, the daughter of William M. and Oma L. (Davis) Bennett.
Although "Shannon" was mentally and physically challenged, she graduated from Highland Park High School in 1988. She enjoyed music, cooking, baking goodies, animals, TV, movies, wrestling and football. She was very soft spoken and well-liked by all and loved "unconditionally" by family and friends. She will be missed forever, but never forgotten!
Survivors include a daughter, Cheyenne Bennett; mother, Oma Davis; father, William Bennett; sisters, Tobey Bennett and Billie Bennett; nephew, Tucker Smith; all of Topeka and many Uncles, Aunts, and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, December 28, 2012 at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel. Cremation is planned after services.
Educational contributions may be made to the Educational Fund for Cheyenne Bennett, c/o Envista Credit Union, 501 NE Lake, Topeka, Kansas 66616.
