Olga E. Hollis, 83, Topeka, completed life's journey on Tuesday, April 27, 2004. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond and survived by her children, Larry, Peggy, and Ken. Olga began her adventure in Braddock, PA (just outside Pittsburgh) on December 1, 1920. She became a nurse and then traveled the country and the world as an Air Force officer's wife. She was blessed with 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Following Air Force retirement Olga and Ray settled in Topeka and became active in various community projects. She loved her home and enjoyed her hobbies: painting, gardening, and writing. In her words:
"When the day will come to bid you, adieu You'll hear me say farewell or toodle-oo I wish you all's well, good luck, and good health, too."
Funeral services will be held at the Pennwell-Gable Mid Town Chapel at 11:00 Friday, April 30, 2004. Burail will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery. She will lie in state after 12:00 noon Thursday at the funeral home.
