Odessa Yvonne Johnson "Dee Dee", 59, of Topeka, passed away Thursday, November 21, 2013.
She was born December 28, 1953 in Topeka, the daughter of Charles Lewis and Magdalene Hester (Davis) Johnson, Sr.
Odessa was employed by the United Methodist Home and later for Aldersgate Village in Topeka.
Survivors include her daughter, Tammy Braley; her son, Quindall Johnson; five grandchildren, Brittany Y. Goodwin, Nathen Braley, Nathaniel Braley, Qua'marriel Johnson and Quindall Johnson, Jr.; three sisters, Mary Johnson, Bonnie Johnson-Logan, and Darlenea "Rosie" Johnson; and three brothers, Charles Johnson, Jr., Stanley Joe Johnson and Orman Quin Talbert all of Topeka. She was preceded in death by her parents and three siblings, Lester Johnson, Florence Jones and Della Johnson-Alexander.

A funeral ceremony will be 2 p.m., Tuesday, November 26, 2013 at the Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel, 1321 SW 10th Ave., Topeka. Cremation will follow the ceremony. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
