Norman Joe Swartz, passed away peacefully at the Midland Care Hospice House on October 16, 2024, at the age of 86. Born on December 9, 1937 to Dean William Swartz and Josephine Esther Swartz (Ingraham), both of whom have preceded him in death.
He was also preceded in death by his brother, David Swartz.
Norman is survived by his loving wife, Kay Swartz. They spent many years together in Silver Lake, KS where they raised their family.
Norman is also survived by his daughter Pam Wagner (Brian) of Lawrence, KS along with granddaughters, Christy Wagner and Ashley Estes (Scott), along with great grandchildren Carter, Addison, Gentry, Andi and Tucker.
Norman is also survived by his son Stan Swartz (Jean) of Silver Lake, KS along with grandsons Brock Swartz (Victoria), Jace Freeman, and Casey Swartz (Morgan), along with great grandchild Dakota.
His brother Jack Swartz (Martha) along with his nephews, Jon and Andrew Swartz and families, live in California.
He is also survived by nieces, daughters of brother David, Sara and Hope along with their families.
Norman requested no formal services and the family plan on a private memorial, at a later date in Rocky Mountain National Park, where the family had many memorable family vacations.
