Norma Jean Bundy, 73, of Topeka, passed away at Midland Hospice House on Sunday morning, May 6, 2007.
She was born September 20, 1933 in Marysville, the daughter of Orville and Flora Bell Bigham. She was raised and went to school in Marysville.
She married Garland G. Bundy on December 19, 1952 in Dover. He survives.
Norma worked as a waitress in Topeka restaurants most of her life and also Village Cleaners, retiring in 1997. She volunteered at Stormont Vail Hospital.
Survivors include daughters, Teresa Bloom, Holton, Laura Reichardt, Topeka; sons, Patrick Bundy, Topeka, Steve Bundy, Auburn and Francis "Bud" Bundy, Eatontown, NJ; 8 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; 10 step grandchildren; brothers, Merlin Bigham, Topeka, Jerry Bigham, Lincoln, NE; and sisters, Shirley Cowell, Marysville, Karen Springer, Seward, NE, and Pat Bierbaum, Dalhart, TX. She was preceded in death by a son, Michael Bundy and a sister, Wilma Pierson.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 10, 2007 at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel. Burial will follow at Auburn Cemetery. Norma will lie in state at the funeral home after 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday and visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
