Norma E. Richter, 75, of Topeka, passed away on Friday, June 10, 2005 at her home. She was born on June 7, 1930 in Arapahoe, Nebraska, the daughter of Edwin and Anna Monter Wohler. She resided in Alma for 31 years before moving to Topeka in 1974. She was a realtor for Town and Country Realty. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, the Lutheran Womens Missionary League where she held several offices and the Parent Teachers League where she held several offices. She married Edward A. Richter on November 12, 1949 in Alma. He survives. Other survivors include two sons, Douglas P. Richter and his wife, Barbara of McFarland, Ryan E. Richter and his wife, Elaine of Springfield, MO one daughter, Debra Rundquist and her husband, Donald of Topeka, her daughter-in-law, Karla Richter of St. George, nine grandchildren, one brother , Robert Wohler and his wife, Sandra of Milwaukee, Wisconsin and one sister, Lois Rice and her husband, LeRoy of Mission. She was prececded in death by one son, Kurt M. Richter on June 11, 1993 and one brother, Donald Wohler. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. John's Lutheran Church. Burial will follow in West Lawn Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Richter will lie in state after noon Monday at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel where the family will receive friends from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Monday evening.
