Norbert F. Brady, 79, of Silver Lake, passed away January 16, 2015, at home under the care of Midland Hospice.
He was born October 21, 1935 in Axtell, Kansas, the son of Vincent "Dutch" and Rose (Skoch) Brady. He was raised in Lillis, Kansas, and was a graduate of Frankfort High School.
Norbert served in the United States Army from 1955-1957. On November 28, 1957, he married Carol Harry, in Lillis, Kansas.
Norbert is survived by his wife, Carol; daughter, Sheri (David) Bahm of Silver Lake, Kansas; son, Steve (Angie) Brady of Sulphur Springs, Texas; granddaughter, Ashley Bahm of Topeka, Kansas; grandsons, Dylan Bahm of Denver, Colorado and Austin and Brock Brady of Sulphur Springs, Texas; brother, Tom (Carolyn) Brady of Lillis, Kansas; sister, Pat (John) Anderson of Lawrence, Kansas; and brother, Ed (Pat) Brady of Lillis, Kansas.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Sharon Neal; and nephews, Tom Brady, Jr. and Mark Brady.
Norbert will be remembered for his love of Harley-Davidson motorcycling and John Deere tractors. He was an avid supporter of Silver Lake sports and proud of his grandchildren's many achievements.
Visitation with family will be from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. on Monday, January 19, 2015 at the Bahm Offices, 304 W. Railroad, Silver Lake, Kansas. Norbert's tractors will be on display.
Memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to Post 160 in Silver Lake, Silver Lake Library, or Silver Lake United Methodist Church.
