Nora May Crawshaw,88, of Topeka, died Saturday, November 6, 2004 at Topeka Presbyterian Manor.
She was born January 24, 1916, the daughter of Herbert K. and Bertha A(Smith) Teel.
Mrs. Crawshaw was a homemaker and worked for the State of Kansas before retiring in 1979. She also worked at various jobs in the Maple Hill community.
She married Woodrow W. Crawshaw on February 13, 1937 in Topeka. He preceded her in death on January 29, 2003.
She was also preceded in death by a son; Herbert T. Crawshaw, in 1976; a brother, Harold S. Teel; three sisters, Sabina I. Kelley, Martha I. Ridgeway and Marjorie I. Ridgeway; a step-sister, Leila Holeman; four step-brothers; Clarence Crawshaw, Elmer Crawshaw, Chester Crawshaw and Cody Crawshaw.
Survivors include four son's;Woodrow W. Crawshaw Jr., Marion, KS, Ronnie L. Crawshaw, Cottonwood Falls, KS, Lester R. Crawshaw, Mayetta, and Joseph H. Crawshaw, Newport, RI; one step brother, Franklin Crawshaw, Perry, KS, 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
Mrs. Crawshaw will lie in state after 12:00 pm, Monday November 8, 2004 at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel.
A Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 9, 2004 at Maple Hill Community Church with burial to follow in Maple Hill Cemetery.
