Nina M. Johnson, 85, of Topeka, passed away on Sunday, February 7, 2016 at Midland Hospice House in Topeka. She was born December 5, 1930 in Osawatomie, Kansas, the daughter of Lauren and Hilda (Schoenfeldt) Heydt.
Nina graduated from St. Francis School of Nursing in 1951. She was employed as a Registered Nurse at St. Francis Hospital for over 40 years before retiring in February, 1992. She was a member of Wanamaker Road Baptist Church.
Nina married Lloyd D. Ralston on August 4, 1951. He preceded her in death. She later married Paul Johnson on June 14, 1977. He preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by one grandson, Anthony Ralston and her brother, Fred Meinert.
Survivors include her children, David L. Ralston, Steven P. Ralston, Lauren A. Ralston, Peggy A. (Michelle) Ralston and Larry D. Ralston, 10 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, her sister, Donna Morgan and her 5 nieces.
Cremation has taken place. The family will receive friends from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at Wanamaker Road Baptist Church. Private inurnment will take place in Prairie Home Cemetery at a later date.
Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel is assisting the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Midland Care, 200 SW Frazier Circle, Topeka, KS 66606.
