Nettie Bocock, 92, Topeka, passed away Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at a local care center.
Nettie was born June 22, 1922 in Lebanon, MO, the daughter of Avard and Bertha McCormick.
She worked as a cook at the Sunny Elevation Grade School for several years, and owned and operated a Pie shop in North Topeka before retiring in 1976 and moving to LeRoy.
She was a Board member of the LeRoy Library and attended the Assembly of God Church in LeRoy.
Nettie married Edward Bocock on April 18, 1942. He died November 10, 2006. Survivors include daughters, Carolyn (David) Clark, Madera, CA, Patricia Feeken, Topeka; 6 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren; and sister, Nadine Green. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Betty Bocock; and brothers, Howard and James McCormick.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, February 23, 2015 at Mount Hope Chapel. Burial will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, February 22nd at Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel.
