Nelda Fern Jones, 78, Topeka, died Wednesday, February 13, 2008 at Stormont-Vail Hospital following an extended illness.
She was born Dec. 20, 1929 in Mound Valley, KS, the daughter of Ralph and Lulu Fern Palmer Jones. She graduated from Highland Park High School and St. Joseph Hospital X-Ray School, Wichita.
Ms. Jones was an X-Ray Technician at St. Francis Hospital for many years and a Utilization Review Analyst at Electronic Data System.
She is survived by one cousin, Beverly Locke of Rapid City, SD and her caregiver, Joanne (Jo) Erickson of Topeka.
Cremation is planned. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, February 18, 2008 at Highland Heights Christian Church, 29th and Tecumseh Rd. Inurnment will follow at Mount Hope Columbarium.
Memorial contributions may be made to Highland Heights Christian Church or Helping Hands Humane Society, 2625 NW Rochester Road, Topeka 66617.
