Natalie Faye "Nat" Gibson was born in Beaver, OK on July 20, 1971. Her life was taken suddenly in the early morning hours of July 21. She grew up in Ingalls, KS and Montezuma, KS. She graduated as Salutatorian from Montezuma High School in 1989. She attended Colby Community College and received an animal technician license, then worked for Sourk Veterinary Clinic in Scott City, KS for two years. She felt a calling to law enforcement so she went back to school attending Washburn University in Topeka, KS majoring in criminology then onto Washburn School of Law where she obtained her Juries Doctorate. She passed the bar exam on the first try. Natalie worked for the Kansas Department of Corrections, the Kansas Sentencing Commission and most recently served as a research attorney for the Kansas Judicial Council.
Natalie was a great leader and organizer. She coordinated many fund raising events for various foundations dedicated to cancer research. Natalie had broad shoulders and took on the concerns and problems of family and friends as her own. She was a "Mother Hen" to her brothers, even at an early age.
Natalie loved spending time with friends and family, golfing, fishing and geocaching. If you were loved by Natalie, you knew you were truly loved, and she would give you the "shirt off her back" if you needed it.
