Nancy J. Foster, 84, passed away Friday, October 27, 2023 surrounded by her family.
Nancy Jane was born to Lester and Roberta (Drake) Dillinger, the best parents in the world, on April 24, 1939 in Del Norte, Colorado.
Nancy graduated from Longton High School in Longton, Kansas. She then graduated from the Susan B. Anthony School of Nursing in El Dorado, Kansas. She was an R.N. a profession she loved and served in for many years.
She married Richard Foster on June 5, 1960. They lived in Topeka their entire married life. Together they have three daughters. Nancy was a people person who loved her work. She was active in the Downtown Optimist Club and was a past President. She belonged to the Crestview Methodist Church.
She is preceded in death by her husband; Richard in 1989.
She is survived by her daughters; Valerie Foster, Jean (Grant) Gaylord, Julie Foster, a sister, three grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Those of us left behind will miss her until we meet again.
Following Nancy's wishes, cremation has been made. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00am Wednesday, November 1, 2023 at Crestview United Methodist Church, 2245 SW Eveningside Drive, Topeka, Kansas.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to be made in her name to the Topeka Optimist Club, 3908 SW 39th Terr Topeka 66610.
