Nan Long

Nan Rebecca Long, 67, Topeka, died Wednesday, March 23, 2005 at her home.

She was born Dec. 24, 1937 in Augusta, Georgia, the daughter of William A. and Ludie E. Mims Wade. She graduated from Richmond Academy, Augusta, in 1956.

Mrs. Long lived in Wellington from 1958 until coming to Topeka in 1962. She worked as a layout operator for Jostens for 14 years.

She had been a member of Topeka Bible Church since 1962.

She married Henry "Hank" Long on Dec. 20, 1958 at Druid Park Bible Church, Augusta, GA. He survives.

Other survivors include a son, Stephen R. Long and a daughter, Lisa L. Long, both of Topeka; a brother, Timothy Wade, Martinez, GA; grandchildren, Rebecca Segenhagen and Caitlyn Strobel and a great-grandson, James Michael Segenhagen.

Services will be 10:00 A.M. Friday at Topeka Bible Church. Interment will be in Penwell-Gabel's Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Long will lie in state at the funeral home after 2 P.M. on Thursday and visitation will be from 6:30 to 8:00 P.M.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Topeka Bible Church Building Fund, 1101 SW Mulvane, 66604 or to Midland Hospice Care, 200 SW Frazier Circle, 66606.
