Mrs. Dean Dimmitt
Dean J. Dimmitt, 96, of Topeka, passed away, Tuesday, March 13, 2007 at her home in Aldersgate Village.
She was born in Manteno, Illinois and was the adopted daughter of Dora and Millie Dean Johnson. She was a 1932 graduate of Park College, Parkville, Missouri. While in college she met her husband George F. Dimmitt of Iowa. They were married in 1937.
Dean and George resided 27 years in Des Moines, Iowa. After retiring in 1975 they moved to Mountain Home, Arkansas. They moved to Aldersgate Village, Topeka in 1991.
She was a member of Chapter IZ of the P.E.O. Sisterhood, Des Moines, Iowa. She was also a member of Susanna Wesley United Methodist Church, Topeka.
Survivors include her daughter, Judy Moul, Mason City, IA; her son Donald Dimmitt, Lawrence, KS; two grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Cremation is planned. Inurnment services will be held in Ottumwa, Iowa. Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel is assisting with cremation. Memorial contributions may be given to the Good Samaritan Fund, Aldersgate Village, 7220 SW Asbury, Dr., Topeka, KS 66614.
