Montoy M. Sims

Montoy M. Sims, 75, of Topeka, passed away on Saturday, April 12, 2008 at Midland Hospice House in Topeka. She was born on August 1, 1932 in Topeka, the daughter of Floyd L. and Naomi J. Price Davis, Sr. She lived most of her life in Topeka. Montoy married Jackie D. Sims on May 1, 1953 in Topeka. He survives. Other survivors include four sons, Rick D. Sims and wife, Teresa of Hoyt, Jerry R. Sims of Topeka, Trent E. Sims of Topeka, Eric D. Sims, seven grandchildren and her sister, Joyce Adam of New Jersey. Services will be held at 9:00 a.m. Wednesday at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel. Burial will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery. Montoy will lie in state after 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 7:00-8:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be given to Midland Hospice Care, 200 S.W.
