Monique Wyatt

November 15, 1933 — January 22, 2025

Harrison, AR

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Monique E. Wyatt on January 22nd, 2025. She was 91. Born on November 15th, 1933, Monique was the cherished matriarch of a large and loving family. A dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother, and friend, she touched the lives of many with her kindness, compassion, and enduring love. Monique was one of 3 siblings. She was preceded in death by her parents Albert and Marguerite Larchez from Herbeuville, France, Meuse and her sisters Yvonne and Jeanene. She was also preceded in death by her 1st spouse, Howard Cain and daughter Debra Cain, as well as Jack Chase, the spouse of her second marriage. She grew up with deep rooted bonds and lifelong commitment to family and instilled those values to her children and grandchildren.

Monique was a devoted wife and mother and spent her days caring for her family. She treasured each one and embraced every moment she spent with them. She is survived by her beloved husband Jack Wyatt, and her children Chrissie Larchez, Trish Chester and her spouse Joe, David Cain and his spouse Kandi, Mike Cain and his spouse Amy, and Steven Cain and his spouse Julie. She is survived also by her grandchildren, Laura, Cory, Kendra, Colton, Kyler, Jessica, Nathan, Joshua, Brandon, Katelyn, and Trevor, and great grandchildren, Auston, Kaden, Blake, Witten, Zayin, Kelti, KaLynna, Ayden and Ava and one great, great, grandchild, Kingston.

In her spare time she sewed for her kids making clothing and costumes for plays and other school and church events. Each garment was created with love and beauty. As her children napped, she also passed the time knitting and crocheting as the hourglass turned from her favorite soap opera “Days of Our Lives.” She was a fan of the show from the time it began airing in 1965, when her youngest child was born. She credited the show for helping her improve her English vocabulary. Her native language was French. She was also a great cook and baker. Her children remember coming home from school to homemade cookies and snacks before starting homework. She did work outside the home for a few years at Hopkins Manufacturing, in Emporia, Kansas when her children were older and had lives of their own. She loved to dance and met her current spouse on the dance floor at the Vinewood Barn in Topeka. It was ladies choice! On October 7th, 1994, they were married. She retired and moved to Topeka, Kansas while her husband continued to work. Monique and Jack enjoyed 30 treasured years of marriage.
