Mitchell Dean Pilcher, 58, passed away on Friday, September 28, 2018.
He is survived by his wife, Judy Pilcher; daughter, Maggie Pilcher-Jenson (Brian Jenson); brother, Kevin E. Pilcher; nephew, Rocky Hennes; stepson Jake Willson; as well as many more loving family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his son, Erik Dean Pilcher; mother, Marilyn Pilcher; and his father, Dean Pilcher.
SFC Mitch Pilcher served as a United States Army Human Intelligence Gather (S.E.R.E.) Survival Instructor for special operations for 21 years, followed by 13 years as a contracted instructor at the U.S. Army S.E.R.E. School. He will be greatly missed by the Special Forces community.
He was a proud service member to our country. He lived life to the fullest, and he loved his wife dearly. His favorite pastimes were touring the country with Judy on his motorcycle, and fishing together at their favorite pond.
A celebration of life with military honors will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 4, 2018 at the Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel, 1321 SW 10th Avenue, Topeka.
