SEQUIM, W.A.- Miriam P. Kious, 96, of Sequim, W.A., formerly of Topeka, passed away August 30, 2005. Born in Knoxville, IA, to Levi Benjamin and Myrtle (Condit) Leonard, she moved with her family to Topeka in the early 1920s. A life member of the Telephone Pioneers of America, she worked for Southwestern Bell for thirty years. Mrs. Kious moved to Sequim in 1996 and is survived by her son, Robert D. Golightly of Sequim, four grandchildren and five grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, George W. Kious, and daughter, Virginia (Golightly) Cofran.
