Minnie Mae Kimber, 97, of Topeka, passed away on Tuesday, December 27, 2005 at her home. She was born on January 21, 1908 in Louise, TX, the daughter of Isaac H. and Minnie J. Barnett Treadwell. She graduated from high school and attended college in Las Cruces, New Mexico. She was a homemaker. She lived in Lawrence and Lansing for many years, then later in Amarillo, TX, Netawaka and finally retired in Tuscon, AZ.. She was a member of Lowman United Methodist Church and a life member of Order Of Eastern Star. She married Ronald Emmett Kimber on June 8, 1930 in El Paso, TX. He preceded her in death December 26, 1987. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Bernice Reese, brother, Raymond Treadwell and her grandson, Michael Leo. Survivors include her three children, Joyce Leo of the home, James Kimber of Lubbock, TX, Jane Allen and her husband, Jim of Canyon, TX., four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Cremation has taken place. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday at Lowman United Methodist Church. Private inurnment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Topeka And Shawnee County Public Library, 1515 S.W. 10th Ave., Topeka, Ks. 66604.
