Milton D. Hobbs, 80, of Berryton, passed away Friday, May 4, 2012.
Milton was born October 6, 1931, in Randolph County, MO, son of Gus and Marjorie Hobbs. On September 18, 1949, Milton was united in marriage to Patsy Fawks in Hale, MO. Milt worked in various management positions for Katz/Skaggs/Osco Drug Stores for 45 years before retiring.
Milton is survived by his wife, Patsy Hobbs, Berryton; children, Jim (Mickey) Hobbs, Lawrence; Mary Jane (Ernie) Blow, Topeka; Cathy (Bill) Finck, Topeka; Milton Hobbs, Jr., Texas; Sara Garber, Topeka; Sgt. James (Elissa) Hobbs, Topeka; and Joseph (Tiffany) Hobbs, Berryton; 11 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and siblings, Dr. J.W. Hobbs, Moberly, MO; and Beverly Burns, Kansas City, MO.
He was preceded in death by his parents, daughters, Linda Hobbs and Janet Rothe, and brother, Bill Hobbs.
Services will be held at 9:00 a.m. Monday, May 7, 2012, at Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel, Topeka. Family graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Monday, at Fawks Cemetery, Prairie Hill, MO. Mr. Hobbs' viewing will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, May 6th, at the funeral home, where the family will greet friends from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
