Mildred Tompkins

Mildred M. Tompkins, 80, Topeka, passed away on April 7, 2008. She was born on August 31, 1927, the daughter of Howard and Coral Heere; the sister of Shirley I. Godfrey, and Howard Heere, Jr.; and the mother of Susan Chenoweth, all deceased. Survivors include nieces and nephews.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Thursday, April 10 in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery. Mildred will lie in-state at noon today, and the family will receive friends from 5:30 - 7:30 pm tonight at Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town. Memorial contributions may be given to Mid-America Hospice.
