Mildred E. Miller, 92, of Topeka, passed away Monday, August 1, 2006.
She was born August 26, 1913 at Corning, KS, the daughter of Nona "Ray" and Elsie Furst Williams. She graduated from Corning Public Schools and Strickler's Business College. She has been a resident of Topeka since 1935.
Mrs. Miller worked for the Dept. of Revenue for the State of Kansas until her retirement in 1975.
She was married to Howard C. Miller on July 12, 1940 in Topeka. He passed away in Dec. 1993.
Mrs. Miller was a member of Highland Park United Methodist Church, Topeka Chapter #462, O.E. S., and The Women's Club.
Survivors include one sister in law, Clara Williams and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Betty Hamilton and four brothers, Ernest, Carl, Roger, and Robert Williams.
Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, August 5th at Mount Hope Cemetery. Mrs. Miller will lie in state at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel after 12 noon on Friday.
