Mildred J. Seley

Mildred June "Millie" Seley, 75, of Topeka, passed away on Sunday, March 19, 2006 at a Topeka hospital. She was born on November 10, 1930 in Kiowa, KS the daughter of Jess and Edna Swartz Hesler. She graduated from Cimarron High School in 1948. She moved to Topeka in 1965. Millie was employed by Kansas Power & Light Company for 20 years before retiring in 1988. After retiring, she and her husband moved to Estes Park, CO where she resided for 9 years before returning to Topeka. Millie was a loving person, her friends and family meant the world to her. She was a big NASCAR and NHRA fan. She loved to travel with her husband. Millie married Jon F. Seley on June 13, 1948 in Cimarron. He survives. Other survivors include two daughters, Cliffie June Wilcox of Cimarron, LuAnne Koester of Estes Park, CO, two sons, Jon C. Seley and his wife, Connie of Topeka, Joe Seley of Topeka, four grandchildren, Russ, Samantha, Sarah, Jordan, three great-grandchildren and two brothers, LeRoy Hesler of Great Bend and Carl Hesler of Wichita. Cremation has taken place. Private inurnment will take place at a later date.
