Mildred M. "Millie" Glover, 95, Topeka, passed away Thursday, February 4, 2016 at a local retirement center.
Mildred was born April 14, 1920 in Corning, the daughter of William and Anna (Kemp) Casey. She graduated from Corning High School in 1938.
She was a clerk at Tilton's East and Tilton's Town & Country Grocery, retiring in 1984.
She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, the Auxiliary of Order of Eagles #4319, Auxiliary of the American Legion, and Golden Timers, Prime Timers, and Tuesday Morning Seniors bowling teams.
Mildred Married John P. Glover on December 8, 1941 in Lonoke, AR. He died January 5, 2001. Survivors include a son, Gerald (Cheryl) Glover, Topeka; step-son, Ron Glover, El Paso, TX; grandsons, Larry (Merry) Glover, Michael (Beth) Glover; 5 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Cletus Casey.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 10, 2016 at Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel. Burial will follow at Penwell-Gabel Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday evening.
