Mildred D. Clausen, 90, of Tecumseh, passed away, Thursday, February 3, 2011 at Aldersgate Village.
She was born December 6, 1920 at the family home in Dover, KS the daughter of Adam and Ethel Firestone Dagg.
Mrs. Clausen was a homemaker the majority of her life. She had served as the Food Service Director at The Manor of Topeka and Brewster Place.
Mrs. Clausen was a charter member of Shawnee Heights United Methodist Church. She was a 50 year member of Clarice Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star.
Mildred married Arthur E. Clausen November 28, 1941 in Dover, Kansas. He preceded her in death September 6, 1993. Survivors include her daughter, Helen N. Weaver, Galena, KS; her son, Donald Clausen, Topeka, Kansas; her sister, Ethel Whitten, St. Francis, KS; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Mildred loved children. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend who will be missed by all.
Mrs. Clausen will lie in state and the family will greet friends from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. Sunday at the Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel. A funeral ceremony will be held 1:00 p.m., Monday February 7, 2011 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery.
