Mildred Alma Kint, 105, of Topeka, passed away on Saturday, August 20, 2005 at Rolling Hills Health Care Center. She was born on February 8, 1900 in Lawrence, the only child, beloved daughter of Oley O. and Charlotte Orrick Warring. She came toTopeka with her parents in 1910. She graduated from Topeka High School in 1918 and attended Washburn College. She worked for Santa Fe Railway in the statistician's office. She and Homer Kint, a lawyer in Ottawa , were married on July 4, 1931. He preceded her in death. They lived in Ottawa for 12 years and in Wichita for 12 years. Mildred worked as a comptometer operator for the Kansas State Department of Administration for 13 years prior to retiring in 1970. She was a member of Topeka Chapter No. 462, O.E.S. Surviving relatives include Betty Jo and Dr. Douglas Sheafor of Topeka and Nadine and Dr. Bradford Sheafor of Ft. Collins, CO. She received loving support from many of her third cousins, especially Bram Sheafor of Loveland, CO. Services will be held at at 3:00 p.m. Thursday at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel. Burial will follow in Penwell-Gabel Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Kint will lie in state after 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel where the family will receive friends from 7:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday evening.
