Milda M. Hock, 91, of Topeka, passed away Monday, January 9, 2006 at a local hospital.
She was born November 1, 1914 in Meriden, KS, the daughter of August Joe and Ida M. Rettke Kelch.
She worked for Security Benefit Life Insurance until she was forced to retire due to being diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. Her husband, Vinton E. Hock, cared for her until his death in 1991. She then moved to Rolling Hills Health Center.
Survivors include a daughter, Verna Newman and her husband Frank, Hempstead, TX; a son, Don Hock, Auburn, KS; three granddaughters; Tamara Scott, Shelly Montgomery, Houston, TX., and Ashley Hock, Kansas City, KS; a brother, Walter Kelch, Healy, KS. and three nieces.
Mrs. Hock will lie in state after 2:00 pm, Thursday Jan. 12, 2006 at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, Jan 13 at the funeral home with burial to follow in West Lawn Memorial Gardens.
