Mike West unexpectedly passed away at the age of 59 on September 11, 2023. Mike married Deb West February 14, 1990.
He was an accomplished artist with many of his own paintings proudly displayed throughout his and his loved ones' homes. He had a passion for creating and was constantly exploring new techniques and mediums, always pushing the boundaries of his art. His artistic abilities were used every day in his job as a truss designer for 38 years as he created designs for Star Lumber.
But Mike's talents were not limited to the canvas. He was also a fierce competitor on the dartboard and golf course, always striving to improve his game, but mostly just having fun. When he wasn't exploring these hobbies, you could often find him with a Scotch in one hand and a cigar in the other watching his beloved Star Trek and quoting Spock.
His legacy will live on through his art, his stories on and off the golf course, and the memories he created with all who knew him. To a loving husband, father, and grandfather, may your journey to the final frontier be a peaceful one.
