Michael R. Soucy

Michael R. Soucy, 50, of Topeka, passed away on Wednesday, January 9, 2008 at Midland Hospice House in Topeka. He was born on December 3, 1957 in Kansas City, MO, the son of George Richard and Donna Simmons Soucy. He lived most of his life in Topeka. He graduated from Topeka High School in 1976 and attended Washburn University and Kansas State University. He owned and operated Hinshaw Retail Liquor Store. Michael was preceded in death by his father. Survivors include his mother and step-father, Donna L. and Donald E. Hinshaw of Topeka, one sister, Kathryn and husband, Bill Ogle of Topeka, two nieces, five nephews, two great-nieces and two great-nephews. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday at Mount Hope Cemetery. Burial will follow. Michael will lie in state after 2:00 p.m. Friday at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel.
