Michael Morton

Michael Eugene Morton, 70, of Carbondale, passed away, Friday, February 4, 2011 at his home.
He was born July 22, 1940 in Boise, ID the son of Brian and Dorothy Flowers Morton.
Mr. Morton was a military veteran of the U.S. Air Force proudly serving his country as a flight mechanic in Vietnam and a commando in Panama. Following his discharge he worked for AAFES as a foreman/truck driver.
He was a member of Post #11255 V.F.W. Carbondale, KS.
He loved God, his country and his family.
Survivors include his wife Carol; his children, Diane, Cheryl and Carol; his brother, Bill; and his grandchildren, Sheena, Mekala, Walter, Austin, Timmy, and Preston.
He will lie in state and the family will greet friends from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. Monday at the Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel with a memorial ceremony being held at 5:00 p.m.
