Michael Lew Mallonee born March 24, 1966 in Lawrence, Kansas to Harold Eugene Mallonee and Bette June (Henry) Mallonee Hulser, went Home to his Heavenly Father on Monday, March 15, at Stormont-Vail Regional Health Center, Topeka. Mikey fought a valiant 22-year long battle with M.S. Mike was a chef at Bennigans and Georgio's before his disability. Mike was bedfast for over 15 years. He had a quick mind and was an inspiration to all that met him. A true servant of God, his spirit was amazing and he was most proud of his family, friends and aides who cared for him as well as being a member of the Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church.
Survivors include his mother, Bette Henry Hulser of the home; his daughter, Melissa Mallonee, Port Orange, FL; his sister, Michele Leah Mallonee, Topeka; and father Harold Mallonee (Cathy), of Lawrence, KS. Nephews: Andrew James Watson, Tacoma, WA; Edward Watson, Topeka; and niece Ashley Leah Watson, Topeka; numerous Aunts & Uncles whom he loved and was loved by immensely also survive.
Mike will be remembered for his courage, strength, spirituality and his undying love.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 a.m., Monday, March 22, 2010 at Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 1800 SW Stone Ave., Topeka. Interment will follow at Penwell-Gabel Cemetery, 3616 SW 6th Ave., Topeka. Visitation will be held from 3 – 5 p.m. Sunday, March 21, 2010 at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel, 1321 SW 10th Ave., Topeka with a rosary being recited at 5:00 p.m. Contributions to the Michael Mallonee Memorial Fund may be made at Core First Bank, 3035 SW Topeka Blvd, Topeka, 66611.
