Michael John "Mike" Pfannenstiel, 57, of Topeka, passed away March 28, 2010, at Rose Villa. He was born November 12, 1952, in Loretto, KS, the son of Linus and Veronica (Schlitter) Pfannenstiel. Mike attended school in Hoisington, KS, later joining the U.S. Navy in 1970. After his service with the Navy, he moved to Topeka and very much enjoyed creating art with all types of mediums that he shared with everyone he knew. He also enjoyed taking trips to Salina, KS to visit family.
Survivors include: six brothers, Jerry, Bernard, Frank, Linus Jr., Arnie, and Vincent; four sisters, Mary Ann, Cathy, Inez, and Sarena; 36 nieces and nephews and 58 great nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, a sister Dorothy Marie, and a brother Joseph.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 2, 2010 at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel. Burial will be at Leavenworth National Cemetery.
