Michael Allen Gleason died on January 3, 2013 at his home in Topeka, Kansas at 51 years of age. He was born November 24, 1961 in Kansas City, Missouri to Dr. Jimmie and Mary Ellen "Micke" Gleason. His mother preceded him in death in 2000.
Michael attended schools in Topeka and Mar Hill High School in Atchison, Kansas. He operated Real Music and Real Tech Computer stores in Topeka. His hobbies were music and repairing cars.
Survivors include his father, Dr. Jimmie (Louise) Gleason, his brothers, Dr. Jeffrey (Molly) Gleason, Cookeville, Tennessee and Dr. Douglas (Angie) Gleason of Topeka, and step sisters, Lisa (Jim) Ruder of San Diego, California and Katherine (Doug) Henry of Sydney, Australia, as well as numerous nephews and nieces. Private burial services will be at the Mount Hope Cemetery.
Memorial services will be at Westminster Presbyterian Church on Monday, January 14, 2013 at 10:30 am. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Westminster Presbyterian Church, 1275 SW Boswell, Topeka, KS 66604. Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel is assisting the family will arrangements.
