Michael Edward Schonhoff, 65, died peacefully at home on December 8,
2015 in Burlingame, KS.
Michael was born on May 22, 1950 in Great Bend, Kansas to Edward and
Joan Schonhoff. He graduated from Great Bend High School in 1968. Michael joined the United States Marine Marine Corps and fought in Vietnam. Michael retired from the United States Postal Service where he worked for 27 years.
Michael is survived by his mother Joan Schonhoff of Merriam, KS; siblings
Debby Smith of Derby, KS, Nancy Weiser of Fort Worth, TX, Susie Herrman of South Bend, IN, Julie Schonhoff of Lenexa, KS, and Mark Schonhoff of Kansas City, MO; his children Emily Schonhoff of Topeka, Sam Schonhoff of Perry, KS, and Tiffany Montalvo of Eudora, KS.
He is preceded in death by his father, Edward Schonhoff and his son, Timothy Schonhoff.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial service and burial of his cremated remains will take place at a later date. Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
