Michael Alan Hawks, 42, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, July 7, 2016, at The University of Kansas Medical Center.
Michael was born December 15, 1973, in Topeka, KS, to Tom and Sharon Hawks. He graduated from Topeka West High School in 1992. After high school he began working in the grocery business, currently working for HyVee. Michael loved the Kansas City Royals and the Kansas City Chiefs.

He was preceded in death by his father, Tom Hawks; aunt, Pam Foresman; and nephew, Landon Maddox.
Michael is survived by his mother, Sharon Hawks; brother, Jim (Debby) Hawks; sister, April (Jesse) Maddox; aunts and uncles, Sharon Hawks, Judy (Archie) Blocher, Jerry (Pauline) Sharkey, Susan (Cliff) Van Vleck, and Bob Foresman; nieces and nephews, Tyler, Andruw, and Jacob Hawks, and Keaton, Kenzie, and Kendall Maddox; cousins; many good friends; and his beloved dog, Bentley.
A funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 12, 2016, at Grace Point Church, 5400 SW Huntoon St, Topeka, KS 66604. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Monday at Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel, 1321 SW 10th Ave, Topeka.
