Mia Lax

Mia Elizabeth Lax, 1, of Topeka, passed away on Friday, May 11, 2012 at Children's Mercy Hospital. She was born on March 1, 2011 in Topeka, Kansas, the daughter of Chris Lax and Tiffany Regnier. Mia loved her benkie and having her photo taken. Her smile could bring sunshine to anyone's day.

Mia is survived by her parents, baby twin sisters, Aliyah Lyn and Aujanae Marie Lax; grandparents, Gayle & Chris Jackson, Warren & Jannice Newman and Carol Eye & Ralynn Lax; great grandparents, Judy Regnier, Vernice Gomiller and Bettie Lax; eleven aunts and uncles, Adam Wilson, Raymond Lax, Heather Lax, Ralynn Lax, Jackie Lax, Tiffany Lax, Lateisha Newman, Wanya Spates, Isaiah Newman, Cameron Jackson and Diallo Jackson and numerous cousins.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 16 in the Mount Hope Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 15 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to the family to help with funeral expenses.
