Merton J. Trast, 96, Topeka, passed away Monday, Oct. 11, 2004 at Topeka Presbyterian Manor. He was born Oct. 25, 1907 in Elsmore, KS the son of Carl Edward and Anna Kisa Palmer Trast. He graduated from the University of Kansas with a Bachelors degree and University of Chicago with his Masters in Social Work. He worked for State and Federal Government. He is preceded in death by his wife Grace C. Trast and two sons, Gary and Edward Trast. He is survived by two sons, James P. Trast, Topeka, and Richard P. Trast, Bailey, CO., six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be at 1:30 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 14, 2004 at First Presbyterian Church. Inurnment of cremains will be private.
