Maxine Norburg, 95, Parsons, formerly of Topeka, passed away Monday, September 28, 2015 at Parsons Presbyterian Manor.
Maxine was born October 8, 1919 in Saline County, Kansas, the daughter of Olof Lawrence Oborg and Techla (Swenson) Oborg. She graduated from Salina High School and Brown-Mackcie Business College and attended Washburn University.
She was employed by Southwestern Bell and the Kansas State Legislature.
She was a member of the Women of the Evangelical Lutheran Church and Trinity Lutheran Church for over 50 years.
Maxine married Norman Norburg on June 18, 1948. He died September 19, 1984. Survivors include daughter, Rebecca A. Carter, Altamont, KS; and sisters, Marilyn Wilson, Colorado Springs, CO and Marjorie Bengtson, Wichita, KS.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 5, 2015 at Mount Hope Cemetery.
