Maxine Elizabeth Hoyt

Maxine Elizabeth Hoyt, 91, of Topeka, passed away Wednesday, December 15, 2010 at Plaza West Nursing Home. She was born September 17, 1919 in Conway Springs, KS, the daughter of Harry and Edith (Pluger) Jenkins. Maxine was employed by Ed Marling's of Topeka retiring after 30 years of service. She was a past member of Highland Park Christian Church.

Survivors include a son Bill Hoyt, wife, Pam and two grandsons, Blu and Shad Hoyt. Three granddaughters, Julie Wiseman, Cyndi Arreguls and Stephanie Elkins. Brother, William Jenkins, wife Phyllis, sister Lorraine Brauer, husband Edgar, brother-in-law Bob Kemper. Great-granddaughters and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Sally B. Ayers and husband, Leonard and sister, Nelda Kemper.

Maxine was loved and will be missed by her family.

Ms. Hoyt bequeathed her remains to the Kansas University School of Medicine. A private family celebration will be at a later date. Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel is assisting the family.
