Mateel E. Stewart, 93 of Topeka, formerly of Salina, Ks. died Wednesday, November 5, 2003 at a Topeka hospital. She was born March 30, 1910 in Stillwater, Oklahoma, the daughter of James M. and Amelia Scholz Ulin. She grew up on the family farm near Hunter, Ks.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church. She married Charles W. Stewart on June 29, 1935 in Beloit, Ks. He survives. Other survivors include One Daughter: Connie Lummis of Topeka
One Son: James Stewart of Streamwood, Illinois

Graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday at the Spillman Cemetery south of Hunter, Ks. Burial will follow. Mrs. Stewart will lie in state and the family will receive friends from 2:00-4:00 p.m. Sunday at Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel. Memorial contributions may be given to Midland Hospice Care, 200 S.W.
