Mary Ann Warner, 87, of Topeka, passed away Friday, March 24, 2017.
She was born April 10, 1929 in Osage City, KS, the daughter of Andrew B. and Esther A. (Rich) Nelson.
Mary Ann was a 1947 graduate of Lyndon High School, attended Washburn University and Clark's Business College.
She was blessed to be a homemaker that allowed her to care for her family. She was a longtime member of Trinity Presbyterian Church, the American Legion and the Order of the Eastern Star. She was an avid KU fan and enjoyed watching sports of all kinds.
Mary Ann married Charles W. Warner on June 20, 1948 in Lyndon. He preceded her in death on November 29, 2012. She was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Ashley.
Survivors include her children Bob (Dee) Warner, Broomfield, CO; Jeannine McKinnon of Topeka; Wayne (Liz) Warner, Altoona, IA; Carol (Phil) Calvin of Topeka; 14 grandchildren and 19 great- grandchildren.
Mary Ann will lie in state after 2:00 pm, Monday, March 27, 2017 at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel, 1321 SW. 10th Ave, Topeka, KS 66604, where a visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March, 28 2017 at the funeral home with burial to follow at 3:30 pm at Lyndon Cemetery, Lyndon, KS.
