Mary Reeder

Mary M. Reeder, 83, Topeka, died Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2005 at Topeka Presbyterian Manor. Mary was born May 14, 1921 in Kansas City, KS, the daughter of Carlyle R. and Nellie M. Masterson Bell. She was raised in Salina, and came to Topeka in 1957. She was a member of St. Andrews Presbyterian Church. She was married to Paul Gabler on Aug. 24, 1940 in Hollywood, CA. He died March 18, 1953. She married Eddie (Jack) Reeder on May 7, 1954 in Lawrence, KS he died Apr. 25, 1984. Mr. Reeder adopted Paula, Carlyle and Barry after their marriage.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Carlyle Bell and sister, Vertna Starr.
Other survivors include two daughters, Paula Short, Southfield, MI; Christine Reeder, Topeka; two sons, Carlyle Reeder, Gaithersburg, MD; Barry Reeder, Topeka; 10 grandchildren and one great grandson.
Private memorial services will be held at a later time.
Private interment of creamains to be in Bonner Spring City Cemetery.
